Bear with me please!

Alrighty! I was hoping I'd have tons of time to play on blogger today and figure this whole blogging thing out! However, work kept me pretty busy!!! I guess I'll tell y'all a little about myself today so that maybe y'all will understand me a little bit better!! :)

I was born and raised in Humble, TX {well actually we lived in Florida for five years {ages 3-8}, but I just don't count that as being raised somewhere else!} I tried every sport under the sun...t-ball, softball, gymnastics, okay maybe not EVERY sport but let's be honest I really wasn't very athletic! I started horseback riding when I was in middle school and did that until high school when I got into a Sports Medicine class. I've always loved helping people and I loved sports so I put the two together and got into Athletic Training. It's always a good thing when you can combine the things you are passionate about! From high school I went to the Best.University.EVER! GO HORNED FROGS! {Yes, I'm yelling that! Gotta have that school spirit!}
There I majored in Athletic Training and made life-long friendships and got to work with world class athletes, some who have gone on to play in the pros! Best experience ever! Fast forward 4.5 {No judgement} years and I landed a job at my old high school! I then moved over to the rival high school and have been here going on my 6th year!! Holy cow time flies! I love my job {most days} and absolutely love the people and kids I work with. But boy can I get busy! Spring can have up to 123,896,764 10 sports {boys and girls} in season at once! Talk about crazy! I end up working possibly 6 days a week, not talking about during school hours...after school when all the teachers go home, like can be at work until 10 sometimes 11 o'clock at night! Then get to get up at 4:15am to be at work at 6:00am to do it all again! Many Athletic Trainers get burned out...I'm almost there, when I start dreading going to work and resenting the kids and coaches I'll know it's time to hang up my scissors! {Athletic training joke there!} Like I said, I'm close! I've gotten my Masters of Education in Special Education {Low Incidence Disabilities and Autism to be exact} and really feel moved by the Lord to pursue this one day soon! I'm currently studying to become a personal trainer and my hope is that I can open my own business that specializes in Exercise for People with Disabilities! Once again combining my two passions! I realize I've gotten off on a crazy tangent as to why I haven't had time to figure all of blogger out, I had great plans to peruse a bunch of blogs to get ideas etc... but darn work got in the way! :) Which is okay because today is one of those days that the kids/coaches/ co-workers make up for my crappy hours and pay that won't make me rich! Plus I have baseball this afternoon! I LOVE baseball!! And yes I probably baby those boys more than other sports but that's what they get for being my favorite! Whoever says you can love them all the same is lying and just not willing to admit they have a favorite! :)
If you're still reading, congrats and I hope I haven't bored you! My last little thought, and I promise I'll plan my posts better so they make sense and don't jump around...but this post has taken me a good 4 hours to write because I keep getting inturrupted having to help athletes/kids/coaches!

I told y'all that mumbo-jumbo {why I had no time to play on blogger, my schooling...blah, blah, blah} up there to tell you this: this morning started out not good...like I was rushing and got to work late and was just SURE today was going to be bad...I prayed all the way to work this morning for God to turn my day around and in saying that what I meant was to change my heart and mood and help me to get rid of the anxiety and frustration! 1 Peter 5:7 comes to mind and is one of my favorite verses, so I'll leave you with this:
"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) I also love the NLT version: "Give all your worries to God, for He cares about you!" What awesome words from our Peter about our Father! Whenever you're worried and/or feeling down please remember that our Father loves us all so much and whenever we go to Him with these things He will NEVER EVER say "Hang on a minute, I'm busy", instead He is there wholeheartedly ready and willing to listen to us spill our guts and will always say "I've got this, please give it all to me and I will take care of it".  How amazingly wonderful is that?!

    1. Yes I do! :) Now! I want to actually use it! Did you know you can get a Masters of Education and not get a teaching certificate? So to teach I need to get my alternative certificaton!
